No longer on the shelf
I take it as it is and I give back as much as I get. There are days when I’m dirty and crude, others when I am more pensive and indulgent, and then there are those where I become indifferent to the world, willing only for the sun to set. There is a shard of darkness in everyone and mine emerges at the oddest of times.
Let’s pretend to be someone else for a day. I’ll be you and you be me. We’ll tell our stories with torchlights under the sheets while the lighting and thunder dance a ballet outside.
